I’ve been threatening major changes to the for the last eight months or so, and now it has happened…The obvious change would be the design. Despite my background in both personal and professional web design, I have opted to use a WordPress template, rather than design another one myself. This is simply a time saving measure as I know that if I start to redesign my own site I will never be happy with it and it will take another 8 months to get to a point where I can start using it again. The template in question is Hemingway by Kyle Neath and is, I think, a stylish design that will more than serve my purpose.

This change comes as part of my intention make a fully fledged career shift to writing by trying my hand at freelance writing. My blog will still be my blog and I will continue to write things I find interesting in the vain hope that other people find it interesting also.

Finally, returning visitors to the site may notice that a number of posts that were on the site before the change have now vanished. This is not due to any technical issue orĀ embarrassmentĀ over the content, but simply the fact that if this site is to become a sales pitch for my writing ability; posts like those did not show my grammatical and technical ability in the best light.

A contact page will soon be up, and I am already writing new content. Except for right now; when I’m writing this.
